Happy Valentines Day!

Beren Saat‬ and ‪Kenan Dogulu posted this photo on their official Instagram account with a caption that:

evilmek yüzgeçlendirir seni
Suda nefes almaya şaşırmazsın
Tersine döner uçurumlar
Yer çekimine pabuç bırakmazsın
Sihirbaz elleridir sevilmek
Işıkla keser vücudunu, aldırmazsın
Utangaç bir gün batımıdır
Her gün beklemekten usanmazsın
Sorumsuzca sevebilene yanaşır sevilmek
İtaat etmekten kendini alamazsın

Translation

Being in love gives you fins
You're not amazed to take a breath under water
reversed cliffs
You can't leave a shoe to the gravity
Magic is hands being in love
Light cuts your body, you don't care
Sunset is shy
You ain't be tired of waiting every day
Capable of loving irresponsibly to be loved
You can't deny obeying.

Hatirla Sevgili : Remember Darling

Hatırla Sevgili (English: Remember Darling) is a Turkish TV series which will soon be airing on URDU1.

It tells the story of  love between Yasemin (Beren Saat) and Ahmet (Cansel Elcin), two young people from opposing families, and the relationship between their relatives and friends in the political era starting at the end of the 1950's in Turkey. In the background, historical events are depicted, beginning with Prime Minister Adnan Menderes' 1959 plane crash survival followed by the 1960 military coup, the trial on Yassıada, the executions and other important incidents that generated the radical political polarization of Turkish society afterwards. Yasemin and Ahmet's fathers, Rıza and Şevket, who are childhood friends and neighbors, develop opposite political views as they grow up. Rıza becomes a member of the right wing Democratic Party and enters parliament while Şevket, a public prosecutor, is a follower of the leftist Republican People's Party. Riza's older daughter Yasemin falls in love with Şevket's son Ahmet, however, their families do not allow them to marry and force them to separate. Things become complicated when Yasemin discovers that she is carrying Ahmet's baby. Their mutual friend Necdet tries to help Yasemin by offering to marry her and pretending to be the father of the baby. The unconsummated marriage between Yasemin and Necdet forces Yasemin and Ahmet apart. During their separation, Necdet's act of kindness takes on a new role as he begins to fall in love with Yasemin. Her feelings for Necdet become complicated because her heart still belongs to Ahmet.Years later Yasemin and Ahmet meet by chance again on a train. Ahmet meets Ruya, Yasemin's daughter, and wishes she were his own daughter. Ahmet trys to reconcile with Yasemin when he discovers how both families intervened to split them up but Yasemin refuses. He suggests she runs away with him but she cannot betray Necdet after all he has done for her. So Ahmet carries on alone, later becoming engaged to Ayla and working as a teacher in the same university in which Yasemin is teaching Arts. At the end of the first season Ahmet discovers that he is the father of Yasemin's daughter Ruya, he feels betrayed and disappointed by Yasemin, and sues Yasemin and Necdet to get custody of his daughter. During the trial, many truths are discovered which attenuate Ahmet's anger. As the series proceeds various dramatic events take place, in Turkiye and in the lives of the characters. The political history of Turkey from 1971 to the mılıtary coup ın 1980 is portrayed, from the point of view of the two families, who eventually resolve their differences.
Hatırla Sevgili became one of the most popular and most controversial TV series in Turkey. It was criticized by many because of its non-objective approach and superficial coverage of some historical events, yet it led many people to question their country's modern history.Books about the historical periods portrayed and people mentioned in the series became bestsellers for at least two weeks after the episodes about them were aired. After 68 episodes, the final one was shown on June 6, 2008.

She has been wedded to Turkish pop star Kenan Dogulu on 29th of July this year.

Celebrities applaud her:

Kenan is not the only one who admire bride, it is everybody.

Türkan Şoray:
I like Beren Saat as I like Tuba Büyüküstün and NurgülYeşilçay. She works hard to act her role good and she become successful. Her private life is also extremely stable. She became a bride, got married, I wish happiness for her. I think she will be more successful in the future.

Hülya Avşar:
I like Beren Saat’s acting. She become popular after a competition like me. I liken her career to mine, actually when I look her, I see my youth.

Nebahat Çehre:
I had the opportunity to get to know her at Forbidden Love set, we worked together.  She can balance very well her private life and her work. She is hardworking, patient and she loves acting. From now on, she also has the responsibility of a family. In my opinion, she will be successful in her family life too.

Ayşe Arman:
When you meet her, you can understand that beauty is not her precedence. There is a difference in that girl. Yes she is so smart, so bright, but not only these. There is an interesting sense of freedom, variability, honesty, courage and foolhardy in her. I think Beren Saat’s difference is that.

Selda Alkor:
They want me to compare Beren Saat and Tuba Büyüküstün’s acting to Türkan Şoray and Hülya Koçyiğit’s. And I said that I cannot see a star light them yet. After a while this idea has changed. Beren grossly misled me. She's a great star.

Nilgün Belgün:
Beren was my student at a competition, Stars of Turkey. Although teaching something is too hard in a very short time but she was very successful . Beren is always willing and ambitious about the acting. and this brings success for her. I find her so successful.

Seyfi Dursunoğlu:
I do not know is there anyone who has an extremely beautiful face and good acting like Beren Saat. At first, she just could not get used to high-heeled shoes. An amazing face. Eyes, mouth… I had seen her first time at Stars of Turkey and I said that this girl is wonderful.

Ali PoyrazoğluI:
Ali was master at Stars of Turkey and his favorite student was Beren Saat. He said : follow that girl, she is the only one who might be a star after this competition at those days. No one believe me. She was very hardworking. Her successes are not coincidence definitely.

Happy Friendship Day!

Hello, y'all amazing people there. You must have come to know that today we're celebrating Friendship day worldwide.
Let's talk about its origin first.
Friendship day was originally founded by Hallmark in 1919. It was planned to be a day for individuals to commend their companionship by sending one another cards, however by 1940 the market had become scarce, and inevitably it ceased to exist totally. In any case, in 1998 Winnie the Pooh was named the world's Ambassador of Friendship at the United Nations , and in April 2011 the United Nations formally perceived 30th July as International Friendship Day; albeit most nations celebrate on the main Sunday of August! So as needs be it is being commended overall today.

According to the Friendship Day declaration, we are invited to “observe this day in a proper manner, in accordance with the culture and other appropriate customs of their local, national and regional communities, including through education and public awareness-raising activities”.

Tribute to a Friend:

Friendship Day is celebrated in to tribute our friends who make our lives so special and give a meaningful direction to our lives. On this day people must pay sincerest gratitude to friends, both old and new, and appreciate the importance of them in their lives.

Significance of Friends:
True friendship is about putting your feet up and knowing that someone is there to bail you out when the world might walk out on you. Besides, as a support system in today's hectic world, friends are the most reliable sources for social, intellectual and creative stimulation.

In the present fast pace age of nuclear families where people have little time to spend with each other, friends have become indispensable. Then there are times when we find it tough to discuss matters with our family members or even with our spouse, it is on occasions such as these that friends come to our support. They guide us and become our pillar of strength when we need them most. And the best part is we don't really need to put things in words when communicating issues to our best friends. Most often friends understand us, just by looking at us or hearing our voice. This heart-to-heart bonding is what makes friendship so exclusive, setting it apart from all other relationships.

Significance of Expressing Love to Friends:
Howsoever strong a relationship maybe, it constantly needs to be nurtured with love and care. We must therefore never lose an opportunity to express our feelings and the warmth we may be experiencing for our friends. We may do this by sending flowers, a heartfelt card or a thoughtful gift. We may also do this by being together with a friend in times of joy or sorrow. The idea is to keep expressing our unconditional love and support to our dearest friend let the friendship evolve.

Significance of Friendship Day:
At times we get so busy in our daily lives that we start taking our friends for granted. It is the annual celebration of Friendship Day that reminds us that we must cherish the presence of friends in our lives and acknowledge with love the important role they play in our lives. One must therefore celebrate friendship on Friendship Day to the fullest and let their friendship soar to newer heights.

Ummul Momineen Hazrat Ayesha' R.A Death

Today , on 17th Ramadan is the day when Mother of believers, the most beloved wife of Prophet Mohammad PBUH after Hazrat Khadija RA died.

Hazrat Ayesha' Marriage:

Three years after the tragic and painful death of Hazrat Khadija, Hazrat Khawla, the wife of Hazrat Usman Mazoun, suggested that Prophet SAW should remarry. In reply, He asked, “Who should I marry?” upon which she presented two names; one was that of Hazrat Aisha, and the other was that of Hazrat Sawda, a mother & 30 year old widow. Prophet PBUH then sent Hazrat Khawla with marriage proposals to both families, and they both gave their consent. When news reached Hazrat Abu Bakr, in his immense joy, he wished to clarify a point so he said to Prophet SAW,  “I am your brother.”  On which Prophet PBUH then replied, “You are my brother as far as the religion and book of Allah is concerned, and she is legitimate for me.” (Bukhari) Hearing this reply, the happiness of Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique was clearly visible and he gave his consent.

Her Life:

This holy marriage holds a significant place in the history of Islam. For one, it reinforced the friendship between Prophet SAW and Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique RA, who had always stood by his friend in hours of distress. In addition to this, a lady of rare qualities was blessed with Prophet’s presence, and the opportunity to spend her youth in the auspicious household of the Holy Prophet PBUH. In her youth, already known for her striking beauty and her formidable memory, she came under the loving care and attention of the Holy Prophet Muhammad SAW. As his wife and close companion she acquired from him knowledge and insight such as no woman has acquired. Hazrat Aisha RA was born as a Muslim( Ma Shaa Allah). She says: “When I got to the age of understanding my parents were already Muslims.”  From this is it clear that not even a speck of Kufr was shadowed upon her. The bulk of her vast treasure of knowledge was obtained while she was quite young. There are 2210 traditions narrated from her. Mohammad Ali Qutb in his excellent book “Women around the Messenger”, has this to say about Ayesha (R.A.), “she grew up in a home where Islam and faith were practiced and she entered the home of the Prophet while still a youth. She was intelligent and full of knowledge. She performed her role in her marital home in a most wonderful way, that was full of love and tranquility”.

Her services for Islam:

Hazrat Aisha’s RA students were approximately 200, out of which were: Hazrat Abu Hurairah, Hazrat Abu Musa Ashari, Hazrat Abdullah ibn Abbas and Hazrat Abdullah ibn Zubair (Radhiyallahu-Anhum). Men and women came from far and wide to benefit from her knowledge. The number of women is said to have been greater than that of men. Besides answering inquiries, she took boys and girls, some of them orphans, into her custody and trained them under her care and guidance. She conveyed the knowledge that she had comprehended and memorized. She directed people, taught them, guided them and gave them wisdom. She left a legacy that is rate to be found in others. The knowledge that she imparted formed a substantial part of the rules of Islamic jurisprudence and its principles.
It is of the greatest relevance to note the pivotal role she played as a teacher, exponent and interpreter of the religion of Islam. Aisha RA was an exceptionally intelligent and astute woman, a young prodigy, and this was the main reason why she got married to the Holy Prophet PBUH, as is clearly proved by events after the Holy Prophet’s life. She entered his household, shortly after his emigration to Madina, just at the time when the teachings of Islam in all fields of life for the Muslim community were starting to be revealed by the Holy Prophet and demonstrated by his examples and practices.

After the Holy Prophet’s death, she acted as a teacher and interpreter of Islam, providing guidance to even the greatest of the male Companions of the Holy Prophet Muhammad. They made a special point of going to her to gain knowledge and seek her opinion. Aisha was really a generous soul and a patient one. She bore with the rest of the Prophet’s household poverty and hunger which often lasted for long periods. For days on end no fire would be lit in the sparsely furnished house of the Prophet for cooking or baking bread and they would live merely on dates and water. Poverty did not cause her distress or humiliation. Hazrat Ayesha, showered the glory and glitter of worldly things. Being in the company of the Prophet, her standards of worshipping Allah, were lofty in nature. Once she was asked why she applied mask on her money, and she responded, “this money falls into Allah’s Hands before it falls into the beggar.

Hazrat Aisha not only possessed great knowledge but took an active part in education and social reform. As a teacher she had a clear and persuasive manner of speech and her power of oratory has been described in superlative terms by al-Ahnaf who said: “I have heard speeches of Abu Bakr and Umar, Uthman and Ali and the Khulafa up to this day, but I have not heard speech more persuasive and more beautiful from the mouth of any person than from the mouth of Aisha.” Hazrat Ayesha’s apartment is also of great significance in the history of Islam. It is the room that houses the Prophet’s grave and his noble body. It is the only room of the Prophet’s wives that still exists. It is the room where Hazrat Ayesha nursed the Prophet when he was sick. It is the room that shelters the remains of two of his closest companions and commanders of the faithful – Hazrat Abu Bakr and Hazrat Umar (May Allah be pleased with them).

Her Death:

During his final illness, it was at Hazrat Aisha’s apartment that he went at the suggestion of his wives. When the Holy Prophet pbuh was on his death bed, he had his head on Hazrat Aisha’s RA lap. At the time of the Holy Prophet Muhammad’s pbuh death she was only eighteen years old. Hazrat Ayesha, in the month of Ramazan on its seventeenth (17th) day, in the year 58 AH, at the age of sixty six surrendered her soul and was buried the same night in Jannatul Baqee, after Salat Al-Witr. (May Allah be pleased with her).

Happy Father's Day!

Father's Day is a celebration honouring fathers and celebrating fatherhood, paternal bonds, and the influence of fathers in society. It is celebrated every year on third Sunday of June.

Fathers are indeed the most important part of our lives, they are the reason we born, they are the reason what we are, where we are. Being a father is easy but being a good father needs courage , Alhamdulillah our fathers have that.

 Importance of Fathers in Islam:

It is well known that Islam places a heavy emphasis on the importance of loving and respecting parents.  In fact Allah (swt) has repeatedly mentioned in the noble Qur’an that parents hold the next highest status after our Lord and beloved Prophet (s.a.w).  Allah (swt) is our supreme provider, sustainer, and protector. He uses parents as a means to provide us, as we grow, with food, shelter, clothing, guidance, and protection from harm.  As creations of Allah (swt) we can never return the favors of our Lord except by being obedient and showing gratitude.  The same can be said for parents.  As children we can never repay the countless favors of our parents accept by being obedient and showing gratitude.  Allah (swt) says in Surah 17 Ayah 23:

“Thy Lord hath decreed that ye worship none but Him, and that ye be kind to parents. Whether one or both of them attain old age in thy life, say not to them a word of contempt, nor repel them, but address them in terms of honor.’

Fathers are granted a uniquely respectable position in Islam. It is said that,

“God’s pleasure is in the pleasure of the father,
and God’s displeasure is in the displeasure of the father.”

Islam encourages the need to show continuous kindness, respect, care, and concern towards fathers as it can often be difficult to keep a steady balance between working, taking care of a household, and fulfilling the many roles of a parent.
Abu Hurairah always encouraged other people to be kind and good to their parents.

One day he saw two men walking together and enquired of the younger one, “Who is this man to you?” to which the young man replied, “He is my father.”  Abu Hurairah advised him by saying, “Do not call him by his name, do not walk in front of him, and do not seat yourself before he does.”

Here are some simple ways to make your father feel special:
  1. Give Dad a day off, and help him in his work.
  2. Make Dad his favorite meal or dessert.
  3. Make Dad a memory book with family photos and each page mentioning one reason why Dad is special.
  4. Take Dad out to his favorite sporting event
  5. Give a gift that keeps on giving.  Honor your Father by making a donation in his name.  Send money to orphans or purchase school books for needy children.  This gift will make Dad happy and In shaa Allah will provide him with unlimited rewards (Sadqa-e-Jariya).
  6. Say YES and stand with firm respect on his any need.

What makes a Father:

I just love the poem, describing what makes a Father and so I'm sharing it with y'all.

God took the strength of a mountain,
The majesty of a tree,
The warmth of a summer sun,
The calm of a quiet sea,
The generous soul of nature,
The comforting arm of night,
The wisdom of the ages,
The power of the eagle's flight,
The joy of a morning in spring,
The faith of a mustard seed,
The patience of eternity,
The depth of a family need,
Then God combine these qualities,
When their was nothing more to add,
He knew His masterpiece was complete,
And so He called it, DAD...!

According to an article from Family and Consumer Sciences, “Fathers are essential to the healthy growth and development of their children. Dads bring a unique perspective to the family and lives of their children.”

Fathers have a powerful influence on the healthy development of their daughters and sons.
